Superbike Racing 2025 Season

Duncan Perry are proud to sponsor the PTR Triumph Factory Racing Team in the Supersport World Championship for 2025.

It was a weekend of firsts for PTR Triumph Racing’s Oli Bayliss at Balaton Park Circuit, Hungary at Round 8 of the 2025 FIM Supersport World Championship.  Following his career-first front-row start in Race One, the young rider lined up P6 for the second race and made an immediate impact.

Despite threatening skies ahead of the 18-lap contest, the rain held off, allowing for clear racing conditions. Bayliss wasted no time moving up to P4 in the opening laps, showcasing both confidence and pace. He held the position until lap eleven then executed a decisive move on Can Öncü to begin the fight for his first podium position.

What followed was an intense contest as Bayliss and Öncü traded positions in a thrilling battle. Ultimately, the young Australian crossed the line in a hard-fought P4 – marking his best-ever finish in the World Supersport category and underlining his growing stature in the championship.

Oli Bayliss: “Pretty happy with today’s race, rode my hardest but it just wasn’t enough. We were so close to the podium and ended up in a nice battle. This was a really important weekend as we had speed in Donington but a crash meant we couldn’t show our potential. We need to keep on starting from a good position as it makes the races a lot better than trying to fight my way through the pack. A big thanks to the team and all my sponsors for this weekend.”

For teammate Tom Booth-Amos, Hungary proved to be a round to forget. After a DNF in Race One, the British rider salvaged a P10 in Race Two but struggled to find rhythm all weekend. A long lap penalty, the result of an incident during the wet morning warm-up, only added to his frustrations. Booth-Amos will be eager to reset and bounce back stronger after the summer break.

Tom Booth-Amos: “Unfortunately this weekend didn’t give us the result we were aiming for.  It’s been two challenging races, but now it’s time to reset. The summer break will be a good chance to rest, recover, and come back stronger. We’ve got work to do, but I’m fully focused on the second half of the season.”

PTR Triumph Factory Racing Team Manager Simon Buckmaster: “Fantastic ride for Oli, so close to the podium! We said he had been making strides and that’s a huge step. It’s kind of similar to Tom last year, once you get to grips with the bike you just go from strength to strength.  We will be hoping we can stay with him for next year and we are working on that but a brilliant ride from Oli today.

With Tom we got a long lap penalty which I totally disagree with.  In warm-up, Anna Carrasco was going so slow she could just change line when she wanted and he couldn’t help but clip her.  My biggest issue is the inconsistency of the FIM sanctions.  Then there was the turn one incident with people running wide but Tom had the fast pace, he finished tenth and that’s all we can say. We are still there, we are only four points off third in the championship.  We just discussed it and to finish third in the championship has to be our goal and then if something happens and we get a chance to be better than that, great.”

The next meeting is at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in France on the weekend of the 5th to 7th September 2025.

British Superbike Racing 2025

We are pleased to announce our sponsorship of the XMT Triumph Racing Team owned by Chris Hicks in the Bennetts British Superbike Racing Season 2025.  Our new rider is Eunan McGlinchey who began competing in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship on the weekend of 25th to 27th July at the Brands Hatch Circuit. Eunan gave us terrific opening finishes with 6th and 12th in the respective weekend races.  Zak Shelton in the Pirelli National Sportsbike Championship showed better results this weekend with a top ten finish in Saturdays race. The inclement weather made tyre choices for all superbike classes challenging on both days.

In the British Superbike races Bradley Ray claimed the opening round race victory of the weekend which is his first win at Brands Hatch. Scott Redding continued to close on him to take second position with the reigning champion Kyle Ryde returning to the podium in third position.

Racing on Sunday saw Scott Redding securing a race victory in Race 2 and Kyle Ryde taking the first place podium in Race 3 with Danny Kent in second position and Scott Redding in third.

A real mixed bag of results this weekend but the 50,000 strong spectator crowd enjoyed a great day of racing.

Standings n the British Superbike Championship now look like this:  Bradley Ray on the Raceways Yamaha maintaining his lead with 222 points, Defending champion Kyle Ryde on the OMG Yamaha with 188 points and Rory Skinner in third with 150 points.

The next race meeting is on the weekend of 8th to 10th August at Thruxton.
